Let's take a trip back to the start. Way back when Firgun was just an idea. We had no name, no website, no logo, no contract. Ragini and Ankur came to meet us at Pressed Cafe in Burlington. We talked, not as a client and vendor, but as 4 people that just met and wanted to get to know one another. Rest was history, made in heaven, with a wedding that was a perfect score in the Planner's world!

Planning meetings with RA felt like friends just hanging out and chatting about the upcoming wedding. Many people ask us what it takes to plan and execute a beautiful wedding. The answer is TRUST. Trust is EVERYTHING! It is so important to build that relationship not just with your Planner but with all your vendors. And believe it or not it's a two-way street :) This might be one blog where we'll let the gorgeous pictures speak for the wedding itself and we'll chat more about the planning part leading upto the day!

• Budget management - 9/10 times clients don't know how to allocate their budget and what each service costs Venue/vendor management - What would take you 5 back and forth emails and 6 weeks of communication; is 1 quick text, 1 email, 2 days, DONE for us. We have created an efficient business model because we do this day in and day out!

• Wedding design - At the end of the day it's a design process. We know all the pieces needed to complete the big picture. You don't have to worry about missing a piece because we have you covered!

• Document management - ALL THOSE DOCUMENTS! You don't have to worry about creating anything from scratch. We'll send you files, you review pick options, make decisions and WOLAAA, DONE!

• Time management - We keep us on track, on schedule.

• Contract management - We have read all the fine print on all the contracts so you don't have to scratch your heads about missing a detail.

• Client management - Guiding you on how to handle some of those overactive kakas and kakis :)

• Trouble shooting - Been there done that, figured out alternatives. DONE!

• Therapy - Yes. Lot of times we just talk about the stress involved with getting married. And we get it! We are here for you and will do everything in our power to make sure to get as much off your plate as we possibly can!

• Execute - You don't have to task your bridesmaids or your family on the day of the event. Leave it to the professionals! We are better equipped at solving issues because of our years of expertise than your friend or family member who's never been in this situation before! Our time spent planning your wedding with you also helps us put ourselves in your shoes to make the right decisions to resolve issues.

Disha and Lav's was a true fairy tale wedding. Elaborate and absolutely stunning decor, massive guest count and a lavish food spread for miles. Both families had one thing on mind, to take care of every single one of their guests. And, that's exactly what Team Firgun planned and executed for their week long festivities.

Our team had a custom check in-desk to greet all the guests, set them up with their rooms working along side the hotel front desk, share the agenda for the festivities as well as provide hospitality and refreshments. We had a team of 9 Firgun girls at this wedding!

The festivities were kicked off with a night of Mehendi. The best part of the night was the Singer, Tina Kundalia, facilitating a friendly game of Antakshari between the groom's side and the bride's side. The competition was ON and no one was ready to call it a night!

Each day was a lavish spread of Breakfast, Lunch right into Appetizers, Dinner and Dessert! Only Rasoi NJ and Rinku can pull off a spread so beautifully presented and perfectly executed. Garba night was all about the food. We lost count of the food stations after 19!! Including a pani puri station with Guava and Pomegranate juice bases! Original, creative and absolutely delicious!! Garba night was also ALL about how stunning Disha looked in her white and blue Lehenga. We couldn't take our eyes off our Firgun Bride! xoxo

When you have a wedding where 125 are immediate family, the dynamics of the timeline change slightly :)

We had a team of 7 HMU working on 60 services for the close family on both sides. We had a detailed HMU agenda for the entire weekend and everything went on schedule. Our HMU vendor team did a phenomenal job dolling up the entire family and the proof is in the pictures, thanks to our AMAZING friends at House of Talent!

Big day everyone! Saturday kicked of in TOTAL style with the RED HOT CHOPPER. It was ALL about Lav and BOY did he SLAY!

Both his gorgeous sisters drove him in a top down Maserati, post the Chopper entrance, to be married to the love of his life! Ravi Verma of Wedding Design and Decor showcased a phenomenal mandap with a play on clean white slate with mirror, pops of green and had all the guests left in AWE as everyone took their seats, waiting for the Ceremony to begin. In walked the bride in a red Shyamal & Bhumika Lehenga and stole the show with her beauty, grace and warmth.

In 4 short hours the decor team flipped from a massive Mandap to a ravishing Reception stage and ONLY Ravi and his team can pull off this task so flawlessly. Reception was all the luxury romantic feels. One of the highlights was the semi-flash mob grand finale dance-off between the bride's side and the groom side. Had everyone bopping and tapping to the tunes. Premier Entertainment, Darshan and his team kept everyone on their toes the entire weekend without missing a beat!

Out came the works, low fog first dance wrapping up in cold sparkler display, smoke grenades for the open dance segment. This couple sure knows how to party!

Disha, Lav + wonderful family and friends - Thank you for trusting Team Firgun with your big day! Your wedding felt more like a family event and less like work. We had a blast with you. Cheers to a lifetime of friendship because we truly love you both and miss you!

Preeti & Vijay’s week long festivities in Punta Cana were nothing short of spectacular. We are sure everyone has seen all the various social media coverage on the wedding but it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t share the EPIC week with a story.

Preeti and Vijay hold a special place in our hearts. Vijay is related to Shruti through marriage so when they hired Firgun to plan their destination wedding – it was much more than a relationship of a Wedding Planner + Client. Much of their wedding was a labor of love.

The first thing Vijay had shared with us when we start bringing his vision to life was he wanted a wedding with people who felt the most important to him. He loved everything about a small private intimate affair. Obviously, a destination wedding was the best way to make this happen.

Their wedding week started off with a BEAUTIFUL sangeet on the beach. There is nothing that can compromise the natural element and not enough décor in the world to beat it. We made a decision to forgo crazy elaborate décor and use the natural ocean and palm trees as their backdrop. Look how BEAUTIFUL these pictures are captured by the talented Amarjot Chana.

DJ Raj Minocha did a fantastic job of blending Preeti’s Gujurati and South Indian music traditions with Vijay’s Punjabi side. The couple really wanted to surprise their guests throughout their wedding weekend (as if the beautiful destination wasn’t enough!). Their first surprise was a beautiful fire performance on the beach.

PV wanted to take a day in between their wedding festivities to really enjoy the resort, be with family and friends and take a moment to themselves as a couple to Just Be. Amarjot Chana was able to do an incredible private shoot with the couple with just both of them together.

PV’s wedding day kicked off with a BOOM AND BAM! The Bride and Groom’s entourage came in strong on the morning of to PARTYYY. Vijay wanted a SICK looking baraat car for his entrance and a dope baraat is what he got! The groomsmen made it extra special with the smoke bombs!

Preeti’s mandap vision was a various blend of pictures. So when she saw her mandap for the first time, it is no lie, there was a lot of nervousness on our end if it was going to be exactly what she wanted. There was nothing more relieving and satisfying when Preeti saw her mandap and said, “Shruti this is EXACTLY what I wanted. You nailed it.” It was a beautiful floral medley with the palm trees in the background.

The couple continued their surprise element by having champagne served to their guests from a professional champagne girl who carries the glasses on her dress!

Super exciting!

As guests were ushered into the reception hall, another surprise awaited them. An acrobat performing in the air!

One of the most amazing things that happened was being able to do a grand reveal for Preeti and Vijay of their reception ballroom. The reception décor was the only part that the couple did not have much insight to it as Firgun planned it all. Preeti and Vijay had an idea of their stage décor but the rest of the execution was the beautiful mastermind of MercaFlor and Firgun. Preeti and Vijay were involved in almost every aspect of their planning, and didn’t have a surprise element for themselves. Watching their reaction to their Reception ballroom with all its décor, lighting and upgrades was the icing on the cake for us. Their reactions were priceless!

When asked what was their favorite part of the wedding after, Vijay and Preeti said “the reception reveal because for once there was a surprise for us.” That was the most heart felt meaning full statement to hear from a client.

The surprises continued as a beautiful display of fireworks went off behind the couple during their first dance, which gave goosebumps to all and the guests continue to party all night celebrating Preeti and Vijay and their love.

Neha + Kashyap wedding weekend was a ton of masti, hungama and LIT AF! There was a lambo, color smokebombs and décor that would make the Heavens look simple. Have we enticed you enough to keep reading? ;)

SILK Events kicked off the morning with a baraat that you could hear in the next town. While the groom was rolling through in a Lamborghini , the dholi players were getting amped up. The Groom’s side used smoke color bombs that set off the hotel’s fire alarms and caused Woburn Police Department and Fire Department to show up in the middle of the baraat. LOL. That didn’t stop the Baraat though!

N+K had a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony that had a blend of the couple’s Punjabi and Gujurati culture. It was incredibly sweet to see how both Neha and Kashyap adapted to each other’s family rituals that were so different from their own without hesitation and with so much love. Love.Decor lit the mandap up with traditional touches of white but kept it classy with white elegant décor. But the reception décor – WOW. There was a customized dance floor that matched the Bride and Groom’s outfits! The reception stage was incredible. Lit with elegant colors through florals all around the archway and candles all around lighting the entire stage to create a soft glow. All in all, N+K went all out for their big day, as any couple would and made sure it was a night to remember for all.
